Introducing Eli, Age 10
Every year on April 22 we celebrate Earth Day to demonstrate support for environmental protection. We need to take care of the earth because it's important and it's our home.
The world now marks the Earth Day to make the human race realize the importance of mother earth. Pollution is throwing garbage on the ground and not recycling. It’s a problem because it affects animals, trees and plants and it gets in the water. Plastic in the water can catch on animals fins and they have to live like that if they can't get it off.
I can help the earth by recycling, use less…
You meander by our shop. You see an unfamiliar ‘Earth to Body’ sign. You do not know us. You are daydreaming, but something draws you inside. Immediately, you see the fridge display and commence looking around for sandwiches, smoothie drinks, fresh fruit. Instead, you see small cream jars, slim sprtizer tubes, generic brown dropper bottles found usually in a pharmacy or the vitamin section of a health food store. Somewhat confused, you continue your perusal. It smells good, but more like a fresh garden scent than a bakery or food service.
The shelves continue to confound. No food…
Natural products are not the same as their chemical counterparts. The unpredictability of nature requires understanding and patience. We have not been conditioned to appreciate patterns, fluctuations and cycles of life, therefore we find ourselves slightly off kilter as we strive to reconnect to our natural world. Oils harden in the cold. Cream may separate in the heat. Butters granulate. The shelf life is about four seasons.
Our conditioning has embedded a notion of perfectionism as we navigate, especially in our expectations. We want quick results. We want them now and we want them perfect…
While surfing for winter tips, I found some interesting suggestions. While I did not agree with everything said, (some of the recommended moisturizers would do just the opposite), I liked the main tip categories and decided to share some with you. When appropriate, I suggest some Earth to Body products to help.
1. Stay cozy but at a comfortable temperature: Too warm a room will dry you out. Our soy candles can help provide a calming Zen atmosphere but moisturize at the same time. Don’t hesitate to use a humidifier if you have one. Or take a nice Dead Sea Salt spa bath!
2. Sunscreen in…
Halloween is here. Party weekend. Dress up. Monday night ‘trick or treat’. The fun begins. Whether you read this now or later in the week, whether you actually do dress up, paint your face, become someone or something on Halloween, this article applies to all of us, all year long. All the time.
We use cosmetic products on our bodies, daily. Halloween merely requires excess. Our concern is to avoid the toxins as much as possible. A few years ago I wrote this poem, ‘The Trust and The Truth’. Our customers loved it and I thought I would share it again as many of us are about to embark…
It is our pleasure to honour Heavenly Honey, one of our many vendor friends who join the craft show circuit with us. For the past several years we have been purchasing Bill’s natural, unrefined beeswax to make creams and balms.
We absolutely love the naturalness and are impressed with the quality and nourishment that it provides in our recipes. We use Heavenly Honey beeswax in the following Earth to Body products.

Bees are incredible creatures. They are responsible for pollenating seventy percent of the fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds that we consume on a daily basis.
They work hard and we appreciate the honey that they forage from flowers, but there is another product that bees produce that we love so much… beeswax!
